Fractures
A downloadable game
Fractures is simple, can do anything, and it is cinematic as hell with minimal rules.
An Episode takes only about one hour once you know what you're doing, but prepare two if you're with new people and need to make characters.
Scene Creation
The number #1 thing people need to understand about Fractures is that it's not an RPG where one person creates a world and others explore it. It's a game where one person (or the group together) creates a number of possible endings called Fractures, and the players create and roleplay Scenes to push the narrative toward any of these directions.
No Permissions
The game is about scene creation, flashbacks, and interesting setpieces made by the players. You don't ask for permission to do a thing, you just describe it and go for it. What success and failure means is decided by the player themselves, within the limitations of its narrative and mechanical consequences.
Skill-based
Characters don't have any attributes other than their Skills. Skills can be literally anything, and the game doesn't limit what your skills can be, other than having a handful of Focuses (think like Skill Groups) each setting has.
What this means is that you can create basically any character you can imagine and still have them be useful in some way to the narrative.
